Friends of Alcatraz want to preserve and rebuild Alcatraz
There are many projects that need attention on the island.
One possibility is the rebuilding of the Social Hall which was called "Building 65"
in the days when the Army used the island. The Golden Gate National Recreation
Area also has other projects of interest. Re-opening the "Canteen and Post Office" in 64 Building
as well as restoring one of the apartments within 64 building.
If you are interested in taking part in preserving and rebuilding Alcatraz,
think about joining FRIENDS OF ALCATRAZ.
Friends of Alcatraz are making tax free donations toward the preservation
and rebuilding projects on Alcatraz.
